Today I am going to talk about manifesting, manifestation and how it can help you reach your goals.

Did you know that studies have shown that people who write down their goals are 42% more likely to achieve them? That’s incredible and demonstrates the power of your mind above all else.

So, I’ve been looking into manifestation in recent years and the power of the conscious and subconscious mind in helping us to achieve our goals.

Whether or not you think it’s “woo woo”, the power of the mind cannot be overlooked on our journey to realising our dreams.
Thoughts without action are non-existent, they exist only in your mind. Because thoughts, despite their power, are not real.

What manifestation does, is cement these thoughts into actions in your mind and to the universe at large. If this is too woo woo for you, I’ll say this, it doesn’t cost you anything and it doesn’t take up too much time, give it a try, for thirty days and see how you feel. I’ve found it really helps me to clarify, every day, where I’m heading and what my BIG goals are, instead of the day to day work ones.

So, where to begin? Grab your Perfect Day planner, a diary, notebook or a plain old scrap of paper and a pen or pencil or crayon in my case as my kids like to steal my pens and you’re set.

The key with manifestation is that you need to be really specific. Absolutely, 100% specific. Now we’re not talking cosmic cash machine here but you can dream as big as you like but always be specific.

You don’t need to know how you’re going to achieve these goals, you just need to know what they are.

For example, I had said I wanted to drive a Mercedes. A pretty shallow goal to some but I am actually a bit of a car freak and so that was one of my goals and hey, don’t judge me, these are my goals, not yours! A few weeks later… Voila! I’m driving myself and beautiful, brand new Mercedes Benz G class, complete with leather seats, sun roof and personalised driving position. It was gorgeous….. Problem was, it wasn’t mine! Aaaaah! It was my dad’s and I was borrowing it. So a manifestation win but lesson learned.

So if you want $5,000 in your bank. Specify what type of account, but you know, I’m open here, so you can say I savings, cheque, in prepaid credit cards or even your PayPal account, I’m open to it. But you know what I always note down when it comes to money! I want it to keep. Sounds pernickety but the universe needs you to be specific. Otherwise, it could just be that a client has paid me money to purchase something on their behalf and the money is merely passing through.

It’s like you wouldn’t make a To Do list for the weekend and say “clean the house”, you’d say, clean the bathroom, clean out the pantry, empty the lint filter in the dryer. Be specific!

One of the key things with manifesting is taking time to visualise how you will feel when you achieve that goal. How you will feel when you open up your bank account and find $5,000 in there, what you will be seeing, hearing, smelling, feeling. It sounds WAY out there, I know but what do you have to lose by putting this powerful message out to the universe?

If you’re willing to go even more out there, Margaret Lynch has an exercise called tapping for $50,000 which helps you to clean out your money blocks. Sounds pretty out there but I’ll try anything!

Manifesting shouldn’t take up a lot of time, I set aside five minutes at the start of my day to note my goals, you’ll find they change day to day.

Try it and see where it gets you. If it brings clarity to your BIG goals then it’s a win. If it brings you $50k and a Mercedes Benz then even better.
